Have you ever wanted to rename many files at the same time, without writing script or running to DOS to remember the old commands?
Problem: I had 81 files with a similar name such as this example 10_09%06.gif, the Percent sign is a reserved character. Ever wonder how that happened in the first place….another story.
- Open Windows Explorer. Select all the files you want to rename.
- Once selected, press the function key "F2".
- Type your new name. If you have file extensions shown, make sure you also type the name of the file extension you're renaming.
- To Easy!
